The Nokia Foundation has two grant programs with Fulbright:
The Fulbright Research Grant for Junior Scholar is a NEW program targeted to recently graduated Finnish doctors for research visits to universities and research institutions in the United States. The purpose of the award is to enable junior scholars in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) fields to carry out research projects in the U.S. Call for applications is open from June until 1 October 2024.

The Fulbright-Nokia Distinguished Chair in Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) offers a unique opportunity for a U.S. scholar and/or specialist to engage in international research, collaboration, teaching and guest lecturing at a higher education institution in Finland and to boost industrial-academic collaborations.

The Fulbright Distinguished Chair position is viewed as among the most prestigious appointments both in the Fulbright Scholar Program as well as by the Nokia Foundation. The Chair is able to engage in a variety of professional activities, such as:
The scholar and the Finnish host institution work together in designing the Chair position activities.
The starting date is late August or January unless otherwise agreed upon with Fulbright Finland.
The Fulbright-Nokia Distinguished Chair in Information and Communications Technologies is funded by the Nokia Foundation and the Fulbright Finland Foundation.
